About a year or so ago, I wrote a story where characters have a brief convo about Star Trek–original recipe–and submitted it to an anthology. The world–real and Trek–have changed since then. If the story is accepted, I think I’ll have to redo that brief convo. I can’t imagine a black lesbian Trekkie not referencing the new movie–especially the new Uhura.
