A Public Service Announcement

From the merchant who sells me fancy French soaps:

When there is a black out or no electricity, do not come to my shop with a credit card! You don’t have light, I don’t have light–there is no way for me to process the purchase!
Yes, the other stores are closed and I am selling candles. You can’t charge them to a card if there is no electricity! I travel three hours to open up the shop and you don’t have cash? Why don’t you have cash?
Next time you know a hurricane is coming–take out some cash! For now, you have your card and I have my candles.
