19th Century Science And The Woman Question

Sometime between 1993-1995, I wrote a small paper about 19th Century Science and The Woman Question. It had to be for a gender studies class or something similar. I remember after looking up so many articles that I wanted to “do something” with it after class was over. So, I put it online with all of my notes and citations. Copyright was the furthest thing from my mind, I just wanted to share. It was attached to my AOL account; then, moved over to tripod/lycos.

Though the essay doesn’t talk about race much at all, it’s clear–I hope–that the women means white women.
